Ember Day traditions being reclaimed

The Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday after the Sunday of Pentecost are “Ember Days.”  Traditionally, these were days of solemn prayer kept by the church four times throughout the year. This practice went by the wayside but is being reclaimed because of the pastoral value. These days engage the church in deep prayer for its whole ministry. This first Ember Day service is for Peace.
