Good day everyone. On behalf of the Incumbent and wardens of Emmaus Anglican Church, I am very excited to let you know we will be worshipping together – in the church – beginning Sunday, September 6th, 2020.
We are entering what the Anglican Church of Canada calls the “Amber Stage” which means worship together will look a little different. We will, of course, be following all of the mandated COVID-19 safety protocols. Everyone is asked to wear a mask (as per the Algoma Public Health regulation), maintain a distance of 6 feet (2m) between people as much as is possible, and all surfaces will be sanitized.
All parishioners will be receiving a letter – either electronically or as a paper copy – detailing what to expect when you return.
We will resume the usual 10:30am Sunday morning service and, if there is enough interest, we will also have a 5pm Saturday evening service in order to allow for everyone to be in church who wants to be in church. The Emmaus worship space can safely accommodate 50 people which may not be enough to get everyone there for a service at one time.
Please contact Emmaus by phone…705-759-2545…or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know if you will be returning as of September 6th and which service you would be interested in attending (10:30am Sunday morning or 5pm Saturday evening).
Please note: If we do need to have a Saturday evening service, the first one would be no sooner than Saturday, September 12.
We look forward to hearing from you and to seeing many of you in person soon!
God’s Peace be with you,
(Lay Pastoral Associate)
